When is this?

Saturday  19th September to Tuesday   22nd September.

What’s the plan?

We are working on the interior of the North Explosives Store. This means that we will install the floor, build the interior walls and ceiling, and create two doors – all from our stock of wood that was paid for by Natural England.  Alan Richardson is sharing his woodworking skills and leading us in this work.

You will be measuring, sawing, nailing etc. We will have Hodgsons High Level Mine Shop as our base, complete with stove and tea/coffee brewing facilities.

We will also have some other tasks that can be completed over the weekend.

Long way from Home?

If you are travelling a distance to be there, you can stay for free in the Nenthead Mines Bunkhouse.
